Our Surroundings

The houses are located on a wood of chestnuts with some centennial samples, genuine paradise to observe nightingales, eagle owls and some eagle species. There are two zones clearly different in the environment; the one that goes throw the border of Portugal, higher and cooler, more shady, always green and wet; the other located on the valley, warmer, receives the subterranean waters from the hills, country roads interlace with roads between country villages.

Lost tracks in hills vegetation, making an invisible communication net by foot or horse. The tracks and country roads go in and out from the villages leaving on the sides lots of fenced fields, enclosed gardens and olive groves to introduce hills vegetation, Rock roses, Brackens, Spurge flax, mints, rosemary, marjoram, etc.. All the landscape sowed of Holm oaks, cork, pine and chestnut trees.
